But if the world could remain within a frame like a painting on a wall.
Then I think we would see the beauty.
Then we would stand staring in awe at our still lives posed like a bowl of oranges,
like a story told by the fault lines and the soil.

Only months after tentatively uploading a handful of bedroom recorded tracks to Soundcloud, seventeen-year-old Laura Boyle has cultivated a rabid fan base online, and now releases her debut EP, ‘Nightingale’. The four track EP comes with a set of accompanying postcards, each with an image corresponding to a track on the record. By pre-ordering the release, Laura will also send you a postcard with a secret download link to an exclusive track not on the EP. The release comes out in December via Turf Records.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]The flipside to the forthcoming Friends singe “I’m His Girl” is a cover of Ghost Town DJs’ 1996 hit, “My Boo”. It has long been a live favourite for the band. Now here it is recorded: a full-throttle sing-a-long, retaining the thrilling pop sensibility of the original, and injecting a healthy dash of Friends’ effortless attitude and edgy groove.
